Kempetro Engenharia shared with Bahian entrepreneurs their successful experience in Bolivia and showed opportunities that local businesses have to offer products and services to the Bolivian market. The presentation was made by the commercial director, Hélvio Mesquita, during the Café com Energia, held at the Hotel São Salvador on October 24th. The event, promoted by Sebrae in partnership with the Secretariat of Economic Development (SDE), aims to provide information and strengthen business in Bahia.
Members of the oil, gas and energy chain have been following the presentation on Kempetro’s evolution since the company decided to internationalize its services and go to Bolivia about four years ago. “The internationalization experience of our company has been rewarding. And I invite you entrepreneurs to follow the same path. One of our goals in Bolivia is to promote foreign companies to meet Bolivian demands. We are already there and we are open arms to welcome these companies and insert them into the market, ”said Hélvio.
The director pointed out some economic attractions of Bolivia, such as the macroeconomic stability and the technical limitations of the country’s public and private companies, among others. There are also many challenges. High bureaucracy and difficulties in recruiting local skilled labor are some of them. Helvio also listed the many planned investments in Bolivia. Until the year 2025, there are projects for hospitals, roads, airports, in the areas of hydroelectric, thermoelectric and alternative energy and in industries of different sectors.
This edition Café com Energia also featured the participation of Qualidados partner and director Jane Carvalho, who visited Colombia to learn about the local market, and Mining Engineer and Sebrae consultant Nicolás Honorato, who detailed the opportunities for Bahia’s small businesses in the Energy segment in countries of the Americas.
