To follow the evolution of Engineering in the market and offer the best solutions to customers, it is necessary to analyze the present and plan for the future with an attentive eye to the news and advantages offered by the digital world. To help our professionals in this task, Kempetro Engenharia now has a nucleus dedicated entirely to innovation: Kemlab, subdivision of the Department of Integrated Systems for Engineering / Innovation (SIEI).
The nucleus is formed by a team of five young professionals, all from the Engineering area, supervised by Thiago Peres, Chemical Engineer graduated from USP Campus Lorena, working in the Engineering Systems area since 2000, with an MBA in Project Management from FGV, with fifteen years of experience in project coordination and supervision in the area and currently a SIEI Manager. The group is responsible for promoting digital culture on all Kempetro work fronts, automating processes and developing innovative solutions with a focus on productivity, quality and cost reduction.
To innovate, a company needs to create the right environment, a right culture to inspire people and empower their minds to reach their full potential. There is no point in buying machines, processes, systems and not working on the individual. It is the most important task for today’s leaders. In innovation, there are no formulas. Before creating innovations, we need to create innovators.
“Our daily work consists of studying, developing / proposing operational improvements, innovations and disruptive innovations within the company and the Engineering sector. In addition, it is our role to engage employees in the innovation process by creating the culture that each one is very important, can and should collaborate with Kempetro’s modernization and innovation process ”, explained Peres.
In addition to the search for innovative solutions, other of Kemlab’s main demands are the capture, design and execution of disruptive and / or large technology projects, and the search and realization of strategic partnerships with startups, universities and others and companies for development innovative solutions.
The expectation is that, starting with Kemlab, the company will also be recognized for excellence in the area of innovation. “The creation of the sector, in addition to other duties, aims to disseminate the culture of innovation at Kempetro, acting as an integrator between sectors, disciplines and business units. Thus, we hope that Kempetro will be a reference in innovation for Engineering ”, said Peres.
