Conceptual and Basic Design of the Aggregates Plants for EPSSN – Empresa de Produção Social Siderúrgica Nacional in Ciudad Piar, Venezuela.

UTILICON

Executive Project of the Warehouse for the Aluminum Foundry and Rolling Plant in Caicara Del Orinoco, Venezuela.

GERDAU AÇOS – POLO CAMAÇARI / BA

Multidisciplinary Basic and Executive Projects for the units of GERDAU AÇOS.

SIDERÚRGICA AÇONORTE – RECIFE / PE

  1. Relocation of the Truck Scale

Detailed Civil Design Project for the demolition of the foundations of a truck scale at the Dispatching area of the plant, along with the respective reconstruction of the floor. The project included Demolition Plans, Descriptive Memorandum, Calculations Report, and Formwork and Reinforcement Plans.

2. Senior Designer Allocation

Allocation of a Senior Designer at the plant to develop various 3D Studies and Projects in the Aciaria (Steel Plant) area of AÇONORTE, aiming to implement improvements based on the Scanning and point cloud data provided by KEMPETRO’s specialized team. The service started in December 2022 and is still ongoing under the supervision of the client.

3. Replacement of Scrap Yard Overhead Cranes

Preparation of the Basic Project and respective Rigging Plan for the replacement of the current overhead cranes S3 and S4, with a lifting capacity of 10 tons, by other cranes with the same capacity (S5 and S6). The project involved studying the pre-assembly of the new cranes, their transportation to the replacement site, logistics for the execution of the work, specification of the cranes and vehicles for moving the new cranes, and the removal of the existing ones from the AÇONORTE’s Aciaria Scrap Yard (PPC – Preparação de Cestões).

SIDERÚRGICA CEARENSE – MARACANAÚ / CE

  1. Robot in the Steel Plant

Preparation of the Basic Project for the installation of a robot in the Steel Plant, aiming to mechanize the operations of opening and cleaning the pouring spout of the EBT (Electric Arc Furnace Bottom Tapping) valve of the Electric Melting Furnace. This multidisciplinary project was developed based on the Conceptual Study conceived by the Plant in collaboration with a foreign supplier, encompassing disciplines such as Civil, Electrical, Piping, and Mechanical Engineering.

2. Radioactivity Detector

Project for improvements and “as-built” modifications to the Radioactivity Detector System at the plant entrance and in the Steel Plant, with the goal of modernizing these equipment throughout the facility.

3. Automation Network

Development of an Automation Network covering the entire Steel Plant, with centralized information management in a Data Processing Center (CPD) to be constructed and installed alongside the plant administration. The project involves conceptualization by a specialized company contracted by the client and the subsequent development of Routing and Installation Projects by KEMPETRO. This includes Field Surveys, Studies, Discussions with the Client, and the preparation of relevant Technical Documentation.

FERBASA – FERRO LIGAS DA BAHIA S.A.

  1. Primary Crushing System for FeCrBC

Preparation of the Basic Engineering Project to adapt the primary crushing system for Low Carbon Ferrochrome (FeCrBC) in the Breakers area of the FERBASA facility located in Pojuca, Bahia, Brazil. The activities involved technical visits, field surveys, basic studies, presentation of alternatives, discussions with the client, and consolidation of the final solution, including drawings, flowcharts, calculations, descriptive memoranda, and a list of major process equipment.

2. Compressed Air Network

Project for the improvement and optimization of the entire Compressed Air Network installation in FERBASA’s Unit located in Pojuca, Bahia, Brazil. The project covers both Factory 1 and Factory 2 of the Plant and includes:

a) Mapping and identification of issues;

b) Analysis of consumption at each point;

c) Evaluation of equipment capacity;

d) Proposal for solutions for buried pipelines;

e) Proposal for distribution network improvements.

In order to carry out the work, a technical visit was conducted to gather information and observe the site and condition of the facilities. Discussions were held with the client, solutions were presented, and the most suitable one for the plant was consolidated.
