Bolivian businessmen and authorities visit Bahia in search of partnerships

A Bolivian entourage, formed by the governor of Tarija, Adrian Esteban Alcázar, businessmen and other authorities is visiting Bahia. They seek to strengthen business between the two regions, make partnerships, and meet companies and the Camaçari Petrochemical Complex. This Wednesday (22), in Salvador, were at the headquarters of Kempetro, one of the largest industrial engineering companies in Brazil and which also operates in Bolivia. This Thursday (23), the group had meeting with Governor Rui Costa, in the governorate.

One of the main reasons for the visit was to know the potential of the Camaçari Petrochemical Complex and the impacts that are generated in fostering the entire production chain. They will use the Bahian model in the implementation of the Tarija Petrochemical Complex, as well as seek alliance with local businessmen. At Senai / Cimatec, together with Kempetro, they held negotiations to hire the consulting service to prepare the Master Plan of the Bolivian Petrochemical Complex in the city of Yacuiba.

Visiting Kempetro, who works in the area of ​​industrial projects, they learned about the work of more than 460 employees, including over 100 engineers. Among the company’s customers are Braskem, Petrobras, among other companies in the sector, with over six million man-hours of experience.

The entourage, also formed by the Secretary of Development of Tarija State, Oscar Mealla; Jose Loaiza Torrez, rector of the Catholic University of Tarija, and representatives of business entities, also met at the Federation of Industries (Fieb), with the President of the Legislative Assembly of Bahia, Deputy Ângelo Coronel, and with local businessmen at the Commercial Association of Bahia. The group returns to Bolivia next Saturday (25).
